Lennon Lover

It has been a long while since my last post, but what better way to start up again than to commemorate John Lennon's 72nd birthday?

On this very day, 72 years ago, in the midst of a horrific war, John Winston Lennon was born in Liverpool, England. Unfortunately he was tragically taken from us too soon, but it is better to have Lennoned and lost, than never to have Lennoned at all.

I absolutely love this man. He was quite the odd one but his music, his writings, his musings and his legend will live on for many years. There's just no denying he had talent. I'm going to spend the day listening to his music and watching a Beatles movie or two in honor of the man I love so dearly. For those of you who share this love, please enjoy the following links. ...1,000 words? We all know the old adage, but I think a picture can be worth a lot more. I'm not sure about you, but I have always had a vivid imagination. Ode to Jon

On the eve of the much anticipated election, my friend and I were discussing politics, Mormons and Jon Stewart. I have not had cable TV, let alone basic TV stations since I moved out of home almost 10 years ago, but whenever I could I would watch the Daily Show, sometimes online, but mainly when I was at my mom's house visiting or with my friends if they had cable. I fell in love with him because of his style, the ease with which he puns and jokes his way through his show, his witty quips and almost bipolar news anchor personality when interviewing guests. The night before we made plans, my friend joked around in his inappropriate way. He was going to pick me up and whip out his wiener. Lots of LOLs ensued.
